As a parish of the Diocese of Dublin, which is the primatial See
of the Southern Province of the Church of Ireland (a member Church
of the world-wide Anglican Communion), Whitechurch’s worship and witness
are governed by the doctrines, declarations and ethos of the ‘Preamble
and Declaration’ in the Book of Common Prayer (see page
776, Book of Common Prayer 2004), as set down by the General Convention
of the Church of Ireland in 1870.
